Back to School 2022
Dear Conover Road Primary School Families,
Our team is truly "buzzing" with excitement about the many wonderful new opportunities in store for your child during the 2022-2023 school year! It is our hope that the beautiful summer days have left you with special memories and you are feeling recharged for a successful year!
This is the first of the CRPS Chronicles that you will receive for the 2022-23 school year. It is the main source of communication between home and school. Please take the time to read through all of these important updates and know that we welcome your partnership as we embark upon this new adventure together.
First Day of School:
Our first day of school is Tuesday, September 6th. Doors open for student arrival at 8:45 AM. Students who ride the bus will be met by staff members and directed to the entrance assigned to their grade level. Car riders will be directed to enter the main entrance where staff members will be positioned in the corridor to assist students in finding their new classrooms. The instructional day will begin promptly at 9:00 AM. Any student arriving after this point will need to be signed into school by their parent. In the interest of saftey, parents will not be permitted in the building at the time of student arrival.
Genesis Parent Portal:
The Genesis Parent Portal will be another important tool to communicate information about your child's program and progress. On Friday, August 26th, you will be able to get your child's teacher and homeroom assignment. Parents will also be expected to verify that emergency contact information and all necessary forms and documents are up-to-date. Please remember that classroom assignments are final and no changes will be made. If you have any difficulty logging on to the Parent Portal, please contact Mr. Phil Capasso at capasso@coltsneckschools.org.
Back to School Night:
Back to School Night for Conover Road Primary School is scheduled for Tuesday, September 13 from 6-8 PM. This will be an opportunity for you to meet your child's teacher(s) and get an overview of the curriculum and hear about the special events planned in each classroom.
We can't wait to meet you and welcome you to our hive! It will be our pleasure to show you how Conover Road Primary School is a Great Place to BEE!

Lunch/Recess Routines
Students will have a 40 minute Lunch/Recess period each day. Students may bring a lunch and/or snack to school each day, or they may purchase from our food service, Pomptonian. In the event your child forgets a lunch/snack, we will call home and make arrangements with each family.
Parents may prepay student lunch accounts so that children do not have to bring money to the register. Students may submit cash or a check made payable to "Colts Neck Board of Education" and placed in a sealed envelope. Label the envelopes with "Lunch Money" and your child's name, grade, and homeroom teacher written on the envelope. Students will give this envelope to their homeroom teacher and it will be processed by our food service company. If you prefer, parents may download the Pay Schools Central App to deposit money into a child's lunch account. For more information, please visit:
