Teaching the Way of Jesus Christ

October 29, 2018

A Message from Our Principal

Being able to have a spiritual vision is different from physical vision. The blind man, in Matthew’s Gospel, had faith in Jesus. So much faith that Jesus, when asked, made the blind man be able to physically see. It was the blind man’s faith in Jesus that made the difference.

Congratulations to Anna Browder, Holy Family Alumna, 2015!!! Anna was selected as a Semifinalist in the National Merit Scholarship Award program.

National Merit Scholarship Program

The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. 1.6 million students take this test. Anna was one of 50,000 who met the semifinalist criteria.

All Saints Day is this Thursday, November 1st. We will celebrate NOON Mass for the school along with parishioners on this Holy Day of Obligation. We celebrate the current Saints in Heaven and those who live among us. These heroes of our faith persevere in troubled times as they follow the path of Jesus. Their unselfish actions, as well as their talents, skills, and virtuous living inspire us as they pray for us.

Peace in Christ,

Dr. John Shreve
