Message from Ms. Rivera

I am sending this November Edition early because I want you to know about the exciting events happening this final week of October and into November.

November is the time to give thanks for what we have, I want to thank you all for entrusting us with your children each day. We love them and want to see them succeed and grow! Thank you for your support through these tough couple of years. I am grateful to serve you, your kids, and our community!

In addition, I am thankful for the veterans who have served our country. All veterans are invited to our Veteran's Day Program on November 11th at 9:00. I have included a picture of me with my brother, who served in the marines, and sister, who served in the army. They also served in The Iraq War. Flyers will go home tomorrow inviting you to send in pictures of veterans in your family for our Wall of Honor.

If you have any questions or feedback, contact me at, visit our website, and follow us on Twitter @CedricSmithElem.

Free and Reduced Lunch - FRIDAY DEADLINE!

Although meals are free this year, all qualifying families still need to complete the Free and Reduced Lunch application by clicking here.

Free and reduced lunch numbers are important because they allow our school to get extra funding for all students, hire more teachers and support staff, and so much more.

Please complete the form if you qualify for free and reduced lunch!
