End Slander in Politics
Disgrace to our Country
Well They did this...
Slander exists in all modern political campaigns. In many cases, it's bringing up past mistakes, or even stretching the truth to make one's self seem the better choice. If this continues, political campaigns will end with choosing the least worse candidate.
What Did You Call Me?
In their attempts to make others look bad, they often resort to simplistic tactics, often relying on the negative aspects of others. In a technique often used by children, it has no place in deciding who runs our country. If these techniques are continued to be used in political campaigns, we will never know who is truly the best candidate.
My Friend Oprah
To try and save their now damaged image, political leaders rely upon the image of others. When voting for a candidate, it shouldn't matter who they know. You're voting for them, not there friends. However, they often have no choice to bring someone like Oprah on board because of the vicious slander they must endure. It's the only option they have.
"This is very, very personal. I'm here because of my personal conviction about Barack Obama and what I know he can do for America" - Oprah Winfrey

Without slander, American's can make these decisions based on facts and the qualities of the candidates. Without slander, Americans can be better educated on the world around them; they will no longer have to choose between the lesser of two evils.
