The Thirteenth Amendment
- Declared that slavery is illegal in all us territories
- Congress enforces the act through law
- No section of the amendment says anything about discrimination
- This is how the gangs like the "KKK" got started, because slaves were free now so white extremists wanted to stay on top of Ex slaves
The Ku Klux Klan
The Ku Klux Klan "KKK" was and still is an organization that is made up of white extremists that particularly target African Americans. The KKK started because insecure white men where afraid of ex slaves taking their jobs and power. "The Ku Klux Klan (KKK) is a series of white supremacist organizations claiming lineal descent from the original KKK, which began in the South after the Civil war of the 1860s" (KKK ABC-CLIO American History).
