Illinois 5Essentials Parent Survey
As a parent or guardian of one or more students attending Naperville Community Unit School District 203, your feedback is requested via participation in the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey. The purpose of this online survey is to understand parent/guardian perceptions in the areas of connectedness, satisfaction, interaction, involvement, and quality.
Your participation and ratings on this survey are confidential; the district will only receive school-level results if at least 20% of parents/guardians participate. The results of this survey will be used to understand areas of strength and challenge at the district and school levels based on your input and feedback. Families with students attending more than one school are asked to complete the survey for each school individually.
To access the survey, please click https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/ and select DuPage as the County.
We ask that you complete this survey by Friday, March 11, 2022. Thank you for your support!
Submit Voluntary Student Vaccination Form
Families of all Naperville 203 students 5 and older can now submit Voluntary Student Vaccination Reporting forms. This option is completely voluntary and is a proactive approach to managing our Covid-19 mitigation strategies. If a decision is made not to volunteer this information, families/students will engage in Naperville 203’s general process for managing COVID-19 situations and will be contacted if a need arises for contact tracing.
COVID-19 Letter
Naperville 203 has been closely monitoring the health and safety of our students and staff. We have been notified that an individual in the Lincoln community has a confirmed/probable case of COVID-19. Please understand that we cannot disclose the name of the person confirmed/probable case of COVID-19.
Parents/guardians of students who have been identified as close contacts have already been notified. If you have not been contacted, your student is not a close contact in this case. However, Lincoln is sending weekly emails to its school community when there is a positive case to inform families that students have had a potential exposure to the virus. This is considered a low-risk exposure.
In light of the low-risk exposure to a confirmed/probable COVID-19 case, we ask that you monitor your student closely for symptoms. If your student develops symptoms:
Consult with your health care provider for the next steps (testing and isolation)
Self-isolate and practice social distancing by avoiding public places
Notify your school’s health office
Keep other siblings/household members home from school/activities, the health office can provide guidance.
As a reminder, always keep your student at home if they are ill for any reason. The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are a fever, new onset of cough, shortness of breath, chills, fatigue, muscle aches, new onset of a moderate/severe headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, vomiting, and/or diarrhea. Symptoms usually develop between 2 to 14 days after the last exposure.
If you have any questions, please contact Andrea Szczepanski. Thank you for your understanding and ongoing cooperation with our COVID-19 prevention policies and procedures as we work together to keep our students, staff, and families safe and healthy.
