Staff Newsletter - Week of 02/11/19
We had two successful events last week. The first Annual Shiloh Cluster Showcase Night was a huge success. You all would have been proud of our students and our teachers. Partee ES was represented well! Thanks Specials Teachers for all of your hard work! See the pictures below.
Our second event, The Father/Daughter Dance, was also a great success! We hosted over 200 fathers and daughters on Friday. It was an AWESOME event! The fathers and daughters had a great time with great food, great music, and dancing. Thank you to everyone who assisted with planning, setting up and cleaning up. It would have not been a success without a wonderful team....it takes a village! Thanks to the following: Compton, Bridges, DeRoux, Cooley, Vasquez, Grant, Redden-Bradley, Van Holten, Coddens, Colbert, Thomas, Mrs. Tammy, Mrs. V, Jimmy Byrd, and many more!!!
The Mother/Son Dance is right around the corner! Please let me know if you are interested in serving on the team to plan this event. Just send me an email. I left my calendar at work so I don't have the date. :-) I will email the date to those who email me.
Have an awesome week of teaching and learning!
Generals Salute!

5 Star Salute (Shout Outs)
Brenda Foster our awesome counselor! We celebrated her and all the counselors in the district at the Annual Counselor's Appreciation Breakfast on Tuesday. Please make sure you and your students tell Mrs. Foster how much she is appreciated. You know Mrs. Foster doesn't like much attention....but we are going to give it to her anyway! Thanks for all you do!
3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Teams for hosting a successful GMAS Parent Meeting on Tuesday. Awesome job sharing this important information with our parents.
Mrs. George for translating during an IEP meeting.
Specials Team - Blair, Brawley, Breland, Mills, and Espinoza for successfully highlighting our student's talents at the first Annual Shiloh Cluster Showcase! It was a huge success!
Aquanda Barber was selected by the district to have Teach Gwinnett candidates observe her instruction.
Jalencia Burchett has been promoted to District Math Coach. So exciting for her but so sad for us.....you know it is all about Partee :-). She will be with us until they hire her replacement. Jalencia will be an EXCELLENT district coach!
Mrs. Spikes for reminding us that the EOY DA Blueprints are the same as the BOY! :-) The information was right in front of our faces and we didn't see it. It takes a village .....

GCPS Strategic Planning - Your feedback is needed!
Planning the future for Gwinnett County Public Schools hinges on listening to our stakeholders. As part of that process, the district will be holding focus groups on our Strategic Priorities for 2020-2030.
The focus groups will be held February 19-21. This is an opportunity for our community to share candid feedback on the 10 components of our current Strategic Priorities: students; employees; parents and guardians; governance and leadership; curriculum, instruction, and assessment; facilities and operations; financial stewardship; information management and technology; communication; and public image and community pride. The feedback will help inform our direction for the 2020-2030 plan.
You should have received an notifying you of the opportunity to register for the focus groups. The email comes from Gwinnett County Public Schools but is an invitation from the K12 Insight Research Team. They are the independent research partner GCPS is using to conduct the review. K12 Insight will randomly select participants from registrants, facilitate the focus groups, and compile the results to ensure confidentiality.
Interested stakeholders can register online January 28 through February 11 at the appropriate link:
