The summer Olympics of 1936


Race matters

In the 1936 Olympics in Berlin,Germany the race of the competitors mattered. Hitler only let the aryan race compete other than one woman. This women competed in women fencing.


When Berlin was selected for the Olympics they started to build many arenas and stadiums for these games.


Berlin,Germany was choose for the games over Barcelona,Spain because Berlin out bid them to host the games.

The games

The games included track,swimming,fencing,basketball,soccer,and field hockey. There was one African American that hitler refused to shake hands with and later stated "how dare the United States let this negro compete".
