During the 1920s after the first World war alcohol was a common substance in the United States everyone had it, even kids were allowed to have it so people rallied up and soon all alcohol was banned everywhere. The book Bootleg follows the wave of crime. They witnessed the rise and fall of notorious gangster Al Capone, these people during that time had to struggle for money and the economy collasped living only the rubble of poor families .Before all this Morris Sheperd the main person against alcohol rose to power as a representive of the United States Senate fought for the ban of all alcohol in the USA and soon the law was passed. Years after people were starting to rally up once more like in the twenties except they were fighting for opposite of what they wanted over a decade ago, so the law to legalize alcohol was in service again.
