Crestview -First Day Fun!
September 3, 2019
The Crestview community facilitates a culture of learning by promoting respect, responsibility, safety and a sense of belonging, resulting in personal and academic success in a changing world.
A Few Important Reminders
We had a great first day of school at Crestview! Below are just a few reminders that will help keep our school routines running smooth and safe:
- PIN Numbers - Please be sure to help your child practice their PIN numbers for lunch.
- Drop Off/Pick Up Lane - Our drop off and pick up lane worked very well today. Please remember, Crestview staff and school patrols will do curb to school pick up - YOU NEVER NEED TO GET OUT OF YOUR CAR. If everyone can stay in their vehicles, we will escort students into the school to their classrooms at the beginning of the day, and out of the school to your vehicle at the end of the day.
- One Way Traffic - Just a reminder that our the traffic flow in front of the school is ONE WAY. In an effort to keep students safe, vehicles need to follow the arrows all the way through the drop off/pick up lane.
- How is your child getting home? - Please remember to notify your child's teacher IN WRITING if afternoon transportation plans will change from the regular pick up plan. We can not allow anyone to pick your child up if we don't have written permission.
Thanks again for your partnership with Crestview- you are appreciated!

NEW PARKING LOT PROCEDURES
- Traffic should flow around the parking lot and through the pick up lane in FRONT of the school (NO DROP OFF OR PICK UP ON THE EASE SIDE OF THE SCHOOL).
- Cars should keep traffic moving and pull forward as students are picked up.
- Cars should NOT take a left turn out of the parking lot during student pick up and drop off.
- Cars should NOT block the turn lane into the parking lot.
- Parents should remain in the car at all times while in the drop off lane - please do not exit your car for any reason during pick up or drop off. We will have safety patrols to assist you.
- If you need to enter the school, please park in the parking lot to the EAST of the school building - the front parking spots should NOT be utilized during pick up or drop off.
- Be aware of the adult and student crossing guards.
Please refrain from finishing breakfast, getting in your last hugs(I know it's hard!), talking on your phone or finishing homework in the drop off lane. Please find a parking spot park if you have unfinished business with your child.
Let's all work together to help make our student drop off and pick up safe, quick and courteous!
