Caraway Principal's Newsletter

Great First Week
We had a magnificent start to our school year! The students have done amazingly well learning routines and settling into a new school year. The school is buzzing with their energy and enthusiasm for learning. “I'm happy to be back at school,” is a phrase I have heard many times. This makes me a very proud principal!
Parents, you deserve praise for the fabulous job you are doing. I have noticed:
- quick good-byes – the children do much better when you say a quick good-bye
- healthy snacks and lunches
- following traffic safety procedures during drop-off and pickup
- on-time drop off/pick-up
These are just a few of the ways you help support the Caraway community. We welcome you as partners in your child's education and hope you will be a familiar face at Caraway this year. We value your presence during all school events and hope to provide a variety of opportunities to help us stay connected with your child and family. I look forward to our work together this year!
You will receive this update weekly. This is a critical means of communication. I appreciate you taking the time to stay informed and connected at our school.
Sincerely,
Katrina Bailey, Principal

Tardies
TARDIES
The first week back to school after summer break can be a hard transition for some students. Starting next week students will begin receiving tardies. The tardy bell rings at 7:40 a.m. If a student arrives after 7:40 a.m. he/she will be given a tardy pass prior to entering their classroom. Our school doors open at 7:15 a.m. We encourage all students to be settled in their classrooms no later than 7:40 a.m. This really helps start their day off right.

Many are free (like Math and Chess Club), while others, like Destination Imagination, have sponsors or are funded by the PTA by the PTA. Lego Robotics has a fee associated with it that allows it to run without PTA support. contact your club THIS WEEK to find out how to secure your spot. Visit our website for more information:
