My interview with my grandmother
2. What kinds of music, movies, and fashions were popular at the time? The dress code required that I wear dresses to school. The Beatles were very popular. I saw a lot of Elvis movies.
3. What were your favorite activities in middle school? I was in the band. I liked to read.
I also liked to listen to the radio.
4. What job/ interests/activities do you have now? Is there a connection between what you like back then and what you enjoy now? I work in a youth center, when I was young, I thought I wanted to be a nurse. I have had a camera even when i was young and still enjoy photography.
5. What was the best part of being in middle school? I attended a 4 room school. I had the same teacher for the 7th and 8th grades, I liked Mr. Drury very much. I had good friends in school.
6. What was the worst part? Being teased about wearing hand-me-down clothes and wearing glasses.
7. How would you describe your middle school self? I was very shy and quiet.
8. What advice about growing up would you give to kids my age? Be nice to each other.
9. How did you get to school? I had to ride the bus, because we lived in the country.
10. How did you get school supplies? Most of the supplies were given to us by the school.
