In March, students enrolled in Geometry and Honors English II/English II will be participating in the PARCC assessment. This assessment will measure learning in relationship to the New Illinois Learning Standards. These standards were implemented to assure that students are exiting high school with the knowledge and skills they need to be college and career ready.
These results are one of many factors that provide teachers with the knowledge they need to better meet the needs of their students. Additionally, parents will have a better understanding of where their child may need extra assistance. The new data will help districts to improve instruction, strategically support teachers, and assess school performance as compared with other schools across our state and country.

This school year Heritage High School has implemented many Google products to enhance student learning. All 9-12 students at Heritage have personalized school e-mails which allow them to access multiple Google education applications. These Google applications help students get organized, communicate with peers and teachers, create products related to learning, and much, much more.
Google Drive, a cloud based storage system, is one of the main applications students are finding useful. Google Drive allows students to create, edit, store, and access documents, presentations, forms, and other files from a variety of devices (computers, tablets, and phones) with internet access.
