PTO News
Welcome kindergarten families! It was wonderful to see so many of you at the “woo-hoo!”
breakfast. Your kindergarteners have now successfully completed a full week of school - they
must be exhausted! To the rest of the Manatee families we have made it through the first two
weeks of school - hopefully everyone has adjusted to the school routine :-)

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of us if you have questions, concerns, ideas, or would
like to be involved or volunteer! We are always looking for fresh ideas and to grow our
community.

Fall Fundraiser Info

The PTO fall fundraiser, Shop Charleston Wrap, begins Monday August 23rd. Be on the
lookout for packets coming home in backpacks. The money raised from our fall fundraising effort accounts for 98% of the PTO operating budget and goes entirely to support programs and
services not covered in the school budget. As always, there will be an opt out option. These
funds allow the Manatee PTO to provide vital supplementary curriculum materials, classroom
supply stipends, staff appreciation efforts, and so much more. Last year the PTO was able to
supply each grade level with additional curriculum requests, such as Spelling City, Generation
Genius, and Get More Math. In addition we were able to provide each teacher with a $100
supply stipend to start the school year!
