Happy Friday (and International Star Wars Day) from Columbus First Assembly!
New Sermon Series
Pastor Rick begins a new sermon series in our 10 AM Worship Service this week! My Chains Are Gone will focus on how the mighty power of Jesus can break the chains that many people, including believers, have on their lives.
Each week we will focus and teach on the chains that bind us, and you will hear testimonies from individuals who have been set free from the bondage of pornography, drug/alcohol abuse, childhood sexual abuse, and more.
This is a great time to invite friends and family to visit CFA - this series will be powerful!

Join Us For Sunday School
We have two new adult electives starting this Sunday at 9 AM:
- Effective Parenting - Raising kids is a challenge in today's world. Peers and pop culture exert never-ending pressure on kids. Every day they are bombarded with the pressures and influences of drugs, sex and violence. Our defective world seems to contradict every godly principle we try to instill in our children. The good news? God has a plan! This class will be facilitated by Jack Spoerner and will meet in the basement classroom by the stairs.
- Christian - What does it mean to be a Christian? The term is actually never used in Scripture. "Christian" was a label used by outsiders to define Jesus' followers. Jesus referenced "disciple" as the key word he used to describe his supporters along with the fact that they would be known for their LOVE - a novel concept for their time - and ours today! Jed Cowell will be leading this class in the Fellowship Hall.

Anthem Students Event
Jr High and High School students - we're going skating! This Sunday, we'll be leaving right after service. First stop is lunch at Snappy Tomato Pizza, then we're heading to Columbus Skateland. The van should arrive back at church around 4:30 PM. Bring $20 to cover the cost of lunch and skating!
