Fundraiser Dinner and Silent Auction for Joel Wolfram

Joel's Story

Joel Wolfram is the 29-year-old son of Tim and Sue Wolfram from St. Cloud, MN. On January 22, 2014, a malignant tumor was discovered in Joel's chest wall and was later diagnosed as Ewing Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. He began treatment on Feb. 10 at the Tisch Cancer Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. He has currently undergone four rounds of intense chemotherapy, which have resulted in a significant shrinkage to the tumor. His continued treatment includes many more rounds of chemotherapy in the months ahead, along with possible surgery and radiation. Having family around to support him has been an important part of his treatment/recovery. Joel's brother, Paul, also lives in NYC and is able to provide tremendous family support locally. Tim, Sue, and his sister, Laura, have been taking turns traveling to NYC to be with him throughout his treatments and impending hospital stays.
