8th Grade Math

The second nine weeks - Nothing to be afraid of!
The kids had a great time Friday racing each other to pop balloons for data as an introduction to graphing slope/rate. They made some really great projects with graphs and tables to display their data from the balloon races and many of them took pictures of their projects to upload to their digital portfolio. Their projects will also be displayed in the hallway along the ramp.
We will continue to have homework relevant to current units as well as a spiral review so the students have a chance to practice these skills all year long. We also have quizzes each Friday. Thank you so much for supporting the teachers and making sure your child has their homework each day. The practice at home really helps to get those math skills into their long term memory.
All of the 8th grade math teachers are available for tutoring to help reinforce math skills as well as reteach the harder concepts for those who need more clarification.
