ELLIS ISLAND VOLUNTEERS SIGN UP
On Tuesday, 9/25 students will experience life as early immigrants to the United States through our Ellis Island Simulation. To do this we need lots of volunteers. If you are able to give TWO HOURS of your time, we would love it if you would sign up on the Sign Up Genius. Also, if you are able to volunteer and you speak another language please contact Mrs. Akin or Ms. Hicks in advance. If you are not able to volunteer two full hours, you are welcome to come and observe as long as you are able, but please do not sign up on the Sign Up Genius. This really is a very memorable and meaningful experience for 5th grade students. We appreciate you helping to make this possible.
Ms. Preiss & Ms. France's homerooms will go through the simulation from 8:00-9:30. Volunteers should arrive promptly at 7:30 AM so that we can properly train you on your station.
Mrs. Akin & Ms. Hick's homerooms will go through the simulation from 12:00-1:30. Volunteers should arrive promptly at 11:30 AM so that we can properly train you on your station.
