LDA - Pretest
BEST District of the EVSC - August 28, 2017
Locally Developed Assessment (LDA)
The window opens on September 1, 2017 for the LDA Pretest. Here are some key points to keep in mind when creating your LDA:
- Choose ONE Subject for ONE Class
- Use Approved GVC/Priority Standards (Click Here for Access to the Approved GVC and Priority Standards)
- ATTENTION ELA TEACHERS: (The list of ELA priority standards teachers may choose from can be found on the maps. There is a tab titled LDAPriority Standards. This tab was on the map last year and has been updated for this year. Each grade level map contains one of these tabs. It shows the LDA standards K-12, but the grade level associated with the map the teacher is viewing is highlighted for quick reference.)
- Select 5 Standards, 3-4 items per standard for a total of 18-20 items
- The LDA must include at least ONE Constructed Response Item for ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
- The items from pretest to posttest may remain the same. In other words, you can give the same assessment for both the pre- and the posttests of the LDA if you choose.
- Only students who take the pretest and posttest will be included in the Effectiveness Rating.
