A Message from Mrs. Fantaskey
Holiday Spirit Week
Our holiday spirit week will begin this Friday, as we have our annual Pajama Day to support CHOP. As in the past, staff and students are encouraged to wear their pajamas to school. We are accepting donations for CHOP for those who wish to send a small donation with your child. Donations are voluntary and not required to wear you pajamas! Please see our Holiday Spirit Week schedule in this week's newsletter.
CB West Partnership
We are excited to host students from CB West who are enrolled in the Child Development: School-Age Child course. The students visit weekly, over the course of a 6 week period, to gain an understanding of the elementary child and the role of an elementary educator. It is especially exciting to see some former Soaring Eagles, too, who may be interested in becoming an educator in the future!
Winter Enrichment
Our parent volunteers are working to coordinate the Winter Enrichment classes for this year. Stay tuned for more information to follow in next week's Eagle Flyer.
Wishing you all a wonderful week,
Mrs. Fantaskey

Pajama Day for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
Here at Doyle, we’ll be celebrating on Friday, December 17, 2021.
Optional donations of $1 to support Children's Hospital of Philadelphia are accepted but not mandatory to participate.
Attention 5th & 6th Graders!
Mitten Project - Helping Doyle Families in Need
Staff and students of Doyle Elementary School will be participating in a “Giving Project” again this year. Our goal is to provide food and gifts for Doyle families who need extra support.
Starting December 2, there will be a display of colorful paper mittens on the wall inside the main entrance of Doyle. Each mitten describes a special gift for a child or adult who is a recipient of the project.
If your family would like to purchase a gift for this project, please stop in and visit Doyle to select a mitten. After you take a mitten, you should buy the gift item listed, wrap it, and attach the mitten to the gift, so that it can be distributed properly.
All donated gifts need to be brought to Doyle by
Tuesday, December 14, 2021.
If your family would rather donate a monetary gift, please make checks payable to the Doyle Elementary School Activity Account and write “Mitten Project” in the memo. This money will be used to purchase extra food items or other gifts, as needed.
Thank you for your support in making an effort to help members of our Doyle community.
If you have any questions, please call Tracy Kowalchick at 267-893-4335.

Sparks NewsLetter
“Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
― Mark Twain
This quote may optimize the wish that many parents have for their children’s future. Some of you may be fortunate enough to feel that way about your own career. Finding that ideal job is the challenge and for our children it is often a matter of “trying things on” to see what fits. The link below shares interesting looks at how people feel about the work they do. Although many of the videos may be more appropriate for older students, some could be fun for the younger ones such as Kite Designer or Experimental Film and Stop Motion Animator.
Perhaps take a few minutes over the upcoming school break and watch some of these with your sons and daughters. Ask them what they think, and listen. You both may learn something about “a job you enjoy doing.”
