PSAT Score Reports Are an Important Tool
If you took the 2019 PSAT/NMSQT on October 16, you should receive your scores in mid-December.
Your school will receive a copy of the scores and should share them with you. Once you receive your score report, you can create a College Board account and use the access code to view your scores. In the event that you do not receive scores from your school, you can view them online.
It is important to understand the information presented on your score report and how to use your PSAT score report to prepare for the SAT. Click here to view a score report video after your scores have been released. Ask your school counselor if your high school is hosting a score interpretation session.
The junior year score report will indicate if you qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Scores are automatically sent to the National Hispanic Recognition Program, National Scholarship Program, and the Telluride Seminar Scholarships.
Colleges do not receive your PSAT/NMSQT scores. Student Search Service® is a free program that helps students connect to colleges and nonprofit scholarship agencies, and It does not share scores.
WOW! 1,155 Juniors attended Junior Academy this school year!
This year, all Crosby Scholars Juniors learned how to begin preparing for college. During the College Admission 101 workshop, we discussed graduation requirements, minimum admissions requirements for all UNC System Schools, standardized testing preparation, what colleges seek in an applicant, and how to pay for college.
In addition, we emphasized the importance of using research tools to build YOUR target list and ultimately pick the BEST college for YOU! Be deliberate in creating this list, which you will be required to submit to the Crosby Scholars Program in the spring. Now is the time to begin researching schools and creating a target list with the assistance of some of the resources below:
