Butler News December
Mrs. Libby Nickoli, Principal
Dear Families,
Our county recently received the "purple" designation by our Governor and according to our District plan, our educational delivery model switches to remote learning. However, prior to Thanksgiving break, our Superintendent announced that our students will be required to work remotely December 1st-11th and January 4th-15th. Please continue to check our District website prior to December 14th for updates regarding our plan to return face to face before Christmas break. https://cfcolts.org/
Our teaching staff has been working very hard since August 31st to prepare your children in the event we needed to offer remote learning. Your child’s teacher sent home all necessary materials to continue learning at home. Below are our expectations:
Each grade level teacher has sent login and password information in your child’s yellow take home folder at some point this year. Please refer to this if your child needs help logging in to their learning sites.
Students have been using their devices on a daily basis. They KNOW how to log in and access sites. Do not let them tell you otherwise! :)
Each grade level teacher sent home a daily schedule for your child. This will explain what they will expect to be turned in on a daily basis. They also shared art, music, and PE expectations. These classes will be required during remote learning.
Attendance is being taken based on daily assignments. If your child does not log on to Google Classroom and complete assignments, they will be marked absent for that day. Truancy rules will apply.
The key to success during remote learning is to communicate with your child’s teacher and principal. Do not take to social media with complaints; we will help you in any way we can. Reach out to your teacher via Classroom DOJO. The school phone will be forwarded to Mrs. Nickoli’s cell phone. Please reach out if you need help. I will make house calls!
Please understand that we are doing this because the spread of the virus is affecting our ability to staff bus drivers, support staff, and teachers. Our District is working hard to keep our facilities clean and your children healthy and safe. Personally, I am proud to say I work in Clear Fork. Locally, we have a positive perception on how we have handled this awful pandemic. If you have any questions or concerns, you may call me at 419-883-3451.

Mask up, back up, and wash up!
When we return to face to face learning, it is critical that we maintain our six foot social distancing, mask wearing, and hand hygiene. We are incredibly proud that we made it to Thanksgiving break! Our goal is to stay open as long as possible! Let's set a goal to make it to SPRING break next!
