Have you ever asked yourself what is a number bond or a ten frame? Have you ever thought why this multistep process to solve a math problem is so important? Come spend a night engaging in exactly these discussions. Learn about the strategies being taught as a part of common core math. See how the skills begin in kindergarten and develop step by step, building each year. Perhaps most importantly, get the big picture of why common core math works, and how, in reality, most adults use it every day without realizing it.
Wednesday, January 25 from 4-7. Teachers please pass this along to the parents of your students. They may sign up at: https://goo.gl/forms/eAKSIa5FvHQhPAMq2
or they may call: 607-763-3282 and leave their name and phone number.
