Early life
Roald Dahl was born on September 13, 1916, (9/13/1916) In Llandaff, South Wales uk. His father died when he was 4. The death of his father left his mother taking care of six kids He srarted his education at Llandaff Cathedral School. He there for a short period of time because he was beaten by the principal for playing a joke on him. His mom moved him to St. Peters boarding school after that incident. This was also the school his dad wanted him to go to. At this school his teacher was evil and abusive to him also. Near his school was a candy shop where he tested for the shop owner. This inspired the story Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. After this he attended Rempton School and graduated in 1934. His mom said to him she would pay for his tuition to go to Cambridge or Oxford but he said, "No thank you. I want to go straight from school to work for a company that will send me to faraway places like Africa.
Charlie and The Chocolate Factory
When Willy Wonka decides to let five children into his chocolate factory, he decides to release five golden tickets in rare chocolate bars. The tickets start to be found by five lucky random kids, with the fifth going to a very special boy, named Charlie Bucket. With his Grandpa, Charlie joins the rest of the kids to have the Wanka tour. But not everything goes great within the factory. This story Is what every child would want to be in!
Later life
Through the 1960's and 1970's is when Roald's short stories became Really popular. In June, 30 ,1971 introduced his first film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He received a bunch of awards for many of his best known children's stories. Roald had a great senior/latter life spending time with his wife. Sadly, he caught an infection and passed at age 74, on November 23, 1990 in Oxford, England. :(
