Mr. Daniel's HCA Art Update
For the coolest art students on the planet
I miss you all and hope that you are well!
Here are some art projects that you can do with your family during this time away from school.
1 - Chalk Mural
Click the box below to watch the video!
TIPS:
- My kids and I did this project in our backyard on our fence, but you can do it on any flat surface like a sidewalk.
- Your lines do not need to be straight.
- Be creative! You can do any design that you want.
Here's another version of the chalk mural. Same steps, but different design!
2 - Hand Art Project with Bible Promises
Paper
Pencil
Ruler
Markers, crayons, or colored pencils
STEP 1:
Trace the outline of your hand with pencil on paper.
Click on the photos below to zoom in.
STEP 2:
- Grab a ruler. On both sides of the hand outline, draw lines across the paper, 1/2 inch apart.
- Leave the space inside the hand outline blank.
- Where the hand is, draw curved lines instead. This will make it look as if the hand is curved!
STEP 3:
Here are some Bible promises to write, one on every other line:
I AM A...
- A child of God (Romans 8:16)
- Forgiven (Colossians 1:13-14)
- Saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8)
- A new creature (II Corinthians 6:11)
- Redeemed from the curse of the law (Galations 3:13)
- Delivered from the powers of darkness (Colossians 1:13)
- Led by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:14)
- A son of God (Romans 8:14)
- Kept in safety wherever I go (Psalms 91:11)
- Getting all my needs met by Jesus (Philippians 4:19)
- Casting all my cares on Jesus (I Peter 5:7)
- Strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10)
- An inheritor of eternal life (I John 5:11-12)
- More than a conquerer (Romans 8:37)
- Walking by faith and not by sight (II Corinthians 5:7)
- The light of the world (Matthew 5:14)
- Healed by His stripes (I Peter 2:24)
Color the area between the remaining line and trace over the hand outline and other lines with a dark color.
You can use any colors you like. Use the same color for a striking piece, or make it all the colors in the color wheel!
3 - MORE IDEAS
Save your creations!
Be sure to write your name on your work -- on the bottom in small letters or at the back. Then write the date.
Save your creations and bring them back to school with you!
You can also take a photo and send it to me! I would love to share your creations with everyone!
