Wednesday, 10/9/13 - Reading Street Teacher Training: Assessments, Data Analysis, & Using Technology Tools in Reading Street for K-6 Teachers Implementing Reading Street ~ Room E/F from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, 11/20/13 - Reading Street Teacher Training: Implementing Writing with Reading Street for K-6 Teachers Implementing Reading Street ~ Room E/F from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m.
8/12/13 ~ After spending a year using Reading Street, the meeting will present Reading Street's use of demonstrated best practices in lesson delivery, instructional goals, and what changes to expect in the classroom. Program research and the use of "Understanding by Design" Grant Wiggins research in lesson plans will be demonstrated.
9/11/13 ~ Topics in this session will focus on lesson features, a typical day, and setting up an instructional block. Research and best practices to ensure gains for weekly and unit assessments will also be presented.
10/9/13 ~ Topics in this session will focus on formative and summative assessments found in Reading Street 2013. Technological tools to help with assessments will also be presented and practiced.
11/20/13 ~ Topics in this session will focus on the incorporation of writing with Reading Street and how writing aligns to the state standards.
