Blanket the World
Mrs. Cassidy, Ms. O'Brien and Ms. Leahy would like to update and thank the students that were involved in the blanket project. We made over 40 fleece blankets and they were used in many places.
1. Mrs. Cassidy and her daughter Abbey went to Nashua, Manchester and Lowell to hand out the blankets to homeless people. They. were very appreciative and grateful. One woman cried saying that it was her daughters birthday yesterday and she didn't have anything to give her.
2. About 6 of the blankets were given to a nurse at Lowell General Hospital. She handed out to sick people who are in the hospital and don't have anyone. This small gesture made their day and put a smile on their face.
3. Tyngsborough Police Department - Officer Melanson picked up about 10 kid print blankets. Each cruiser will keep 2 blankets and will use them when they have a child in need or in trauma situation.
4. Finally, Lola a 3 year old little girl from the Worcester area was hit by a car with her grandmother. Lola is in a full body cast and loves her pink fleece blanket to keep her warm while they are both recovering.
Thanks to all who participated, your kindness was spread throughout many communities. Also thank you to all the generous people and administration who donated fleece for our project.
End of the Year Medication
Parents will need to contact the nurse if they want inhalers and or Epi Pens to be sent home for the summer. If no contact with the nurse occurs, unexpired inhalers and Epi-Pens will be kept for the 2019-2020 school year.
Additionally If any student has a supply of daily or as needed medication that the nurse administers to the student, any leftover medication must be picked up by the last day of school or it will be destroyed. Please contact the nurse to make a plan for leftover medication.

Exchange Students
Host an exchange student!
Exchange students will be attending Tyngsborough High School during the 2019/2020 school year, and are in need of host families. Host families provide a welcoming living space for the student, as well as meals had at home. Students will have their own budgets for weekend activities, meals out with friends, etc. Host families receive a monthly stipend, and will also be supported by the local coordinator through frequent check-ins and communication. If interested in this unique and enriching experience, please contact Leah Merullo at leah.merullo@tyngsboroughps.org for more information.
