What your Library CAN do for YOU
Support in the form of resources & experience . . .
Collaboration
Collaboration takes so many forms:
- bouncing-off lesson ideas,
- suggestions for infusing tech into assessments,
- and most definitely curating collections of materials in print/video, etc PLUS, online resources galore!
Easy to schedule . . .
Still have an "old-school" Master schedule on our Circ desk for those class trips to our lovely Library space. Circumstances change swiftly even within the course of a day, so we continue to write in pencil, in order to re-schedule easily.
In a real hurry? Just call ext. 7222, and we will literally try to pencil you in.
*Q-tip- reserve the "Library Lab" in the rear for those same periods to elude noise from competing classes & to maximize generation of intellectual capital ( student work.)

PLUS the NMS Library has an online subscription
- which runs the gamut from Early Learning to Advanced.
Perfect for differentiation: WB has (2) entire versions in Spanish, & another in French, PLUS, it will translate articles into any number of other languages.
As our students are more and more visual / auditory learners, WB has incorporated more visual materials, including video, WB will read articles aloud to students as often as they need/want.
Now, there are timelines, & CC curriculum connections built in too.

OPALs
Sure you can look up a book or other resource,
but think PATHFINDERS packed full of Project resources, ( a.k.a goodies,) often including a link to the complementary online resources in the cloud at LiveBinders.
Also, this is the gateway to Online DATABASES, like multimedia Encyclopedias ( Grolier ) and GALE's General OneFile, etc.

Created/ run by a family, NT is still a terrific bargain.
Everything had been seemlessly upgraded to the 8th edition of the MLA format. In fact it is endorsed by History Day!
In addition to capturing note cards, and linking them to their respective sources, you can drag those notes on to an outline, and link the whole shebang to Google Docs for seamless saving & sharing.
PLUS: It has an inherent drop box feature, so you can guide & nurture, ( . . . or use it as an assessment! )
