Overview of F.P.L.

FPL is a program designed to practice success-ready skills that will assist students not only through high school, but beyond in career and college. Skills like: time management, advocating for yourself, team building skills, communication skills, adaptability, presentation skills, leadership skills, and more. It involves Project-Based Learning (PBL) and strives to engage students by incorporating the student voice and choice in how the student demonstrates they have learned the standards required by the state and our school district. FPL is really for any type of student. Students will experience a shift in their learning experience, which is vastly different from a traditional classroom arrangement where the teacher provides most all of the resources for the students. Rather, students are guided to be resourceful to acquire and contribute to their learning experience. Personalized Learning focuses on students owning their learning, which is the foundation of this practice.
