Panther Pause
22 years of Pride at Colleyville Heritage High School
9.21.18
Panthers,
Wow! We have completed five weeks of school! As we are approaching another progress report period, it is important that we continue to have dialogue with staff and students alike to make sure that we are progressing towards our goals of student success. If you were not able to attend Open House this past Monday, I would encourage you to reach out to your child's teacher and begin discussing how you can work collaboratively with the teacher to support what they are doing in the classroom.
Next week brings a fun time for the students at CHHS as it is our Homecoming week. With all of the dress up days and fun activities planned for our students, this is a great time for our students to display their school PRIDE and our sense of community at CHHS. Our week concludes with the homecoming football game on Friday night at Panther Stadium North (also known as Dragon Stadium) and the school wide dance on Saturday night. While we do not have a football game this week, that does not stop some intense action in our other sports. Volleyball is deep into their district play and travel to Chisholm Trail tonight in a big district matchup. Our cross country runners are headed to Arkansas to put their talents on display at one of the largest competitions in the country. Our tennis team is off to a 3-1 start in their team tennis season. We look forward to another great week next week and GO PANTHERS!

Student Voice
Define what PRIDE means to you at CHHS.
PRIDE at CHHS means to be passionate about things we learn, and participate in being respectful towards the entire student community. At CHHS, I always consider PRIDE whenever partaking in activities that I do with PALS within the school and local community, and whenever I participate in debate tournaments around the local and national circuit. I believe that PRIDE is what motivates us to become better students and to always strive for greatness by doing academic or extracurricular activities that challenge us and take us out of our comfort zone. CHHS PRIDE will always be a part of our hearts as we travel to different places and it brings a common sense of unity. As our alma mater states, " As Panther pride fills up our hearts, we're united here to stay."

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: DENNIS (TREY) JACKSON
Dennis (Trey) Jackson is our featured 2019 Senior Spotlight Student this week! Trey is on the Varsity Boys Soccer Team. He is involved in the FC Dallas Youth Soccer Club, Ulster Project of Arlington and New World UMC Youth Group. He plans to go to college and study business and hopes to continue playing soccer in college. His favorite quote is by Cristiano Ronaldo “Without football, my life is nothing”.
