Guide to NS AMI questions- April 20th
Where do I get the AMI work?
https://www.myarkansaspbs.org/arkansasami
Watching online is also a great option for students who have a hard time sitting for an hour and half so that you can break the time up into shorter spans.
The resource packets with activities that go along with the shows can be picked up in the buckets outside the front door of the school or can be accessed digitally from your teacher each week.
There is no need for a paper copy if you can access it digitally. Many of the activities are hands on and don't require paper or pencil. For the others, any paper you have around the house is perfectly fine.
Channel 2 PBS Schedule
8:00-9:30 PreK- 2nd grade
9:30-11:00 3rd- 5th grade
How do I turn my AMI work in to my teacher?
Your teachers will be asking for you to submit work through them either through pictures, or by showing them the work or telling them about the work during Zoom conferences.
Where can I get things my child left at school?
Yearbooks and Class pictures have not been delivered yet, and we are wanting to wait until these have been received so we can have one pick up time.
As soon as a date and plan has been decided upon, we will email, DoJo, post of Facebook, and notify you through teachers. Please be watching for this information in the next couple of weeks.
How do I know Zoom is safe?
Please help by making sure that you don't share the links with others who should not have access to the links.
Zoom also has installed many new features that allow it to be more secure. They have started having passwords required to enter meetings, and have created waiting rooms that allow the host to refuse to allow unknown participants into the meeting.
We have many parents who are sitting with or near their child during the Zoom meetings, and this is highly encouraged.
If you have any questions about Zoom, please don't hesitate to talk to your teacher or Mrs. Beavert or Mrs. Berryhill.
Do I need to return Library Books my child has at home?
So, in the next couple of weeks, be searching around and finding those library books!!
If a student has a library book checked out in the classroom, teachers will take care of returning those for the students.
One School One Book for the Month of April
See the link below to access Mrs. Berryhill reading the book and many great activities you and your family can enjoy to go along with the book.
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 3-8
Please take a moment during the week of May 3-8 for you and/or your child to send a message to your teachers letting them know how AWESOME they are!!
Not too late to order a Yearbook!
Food Delivery
If a family requires assistance providing meals for their student(s) and in need of delivery due to extenuating circumstances, Cabot Public Schools is working together with several of our community partners to begin delivering weekly food boxes to those students starting Monday, April 13.
To qualify, the student(s) must be enrolled in the district and the family is either homebound or does not have transportation.
Please complete this form if your family requires assistance. If you are unable to fill out the form online, call Central Administrative Offices at 501-843-3363 and we will be happy to complete the form for you by phone.
This request form MUST be completed to be added to the delivery schedule for the remainder of the current school year. YOU ONLY NEED TO FILL OUT THE FORM ONE TIME!
It is also necessary to complete and submit the form no later than Wednesday to receive delivery for the following Monday.
Once you have submitted a request for delivery, please notify the district as soon as possible if the decision is made to cancel this service.
Our Food Service Department will use the forms to prepare meals for the ENTIRE week (5 breakfasts, 5 lunches per student).
