Youngsville Classical Conversations
Looking ahead to WEEK 12!!
Hi CC families! Can you believe that it's already week 12? Half way through our CC year together! Monday will be our last time meeting for CC until January 25th 2016. Seems like such a long break doesn't it? It will be good though. Use this time to review over the first 12 weeks worth of info to really get those sturdy pegs in! I'd love for us to gather for fun playdates over the long break so the kids (and us moms) can keep in touch...otherwise that first week back could be extremely crazy with excitement!
For Monday- week 12

Scripture Passage during opening assembly
WEEK 12: WE'LL LEARN OUR FINALE VERSE, 17 THEN REVIEW VERSES 1-16!
(12)Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is thy neighbor's.
**when we return from break we will start back at verse 1 with the kids reciting the song and motions!"
SCIENCE & FINE ARTS
Week 12 science project: We will use pictures of animals and plants found from magazines or the web to make a poster of the various Classifications that they have learned in previous weeks memory work. Please feel free to bring in cut outs of plants or animals from home.
Week 12 Fine Arts: We will conclude our musical Grammar/Vocabulary and review the last few weeks vocab. This past weeks improvement really showed!! You may want to study and review the vocab at home more over the winter break...I feel like we haven't been able to spend much time going over that in depth due to short attention spans. I'm glad they are eager to play the Tin Whistle though!
Looking forward to the next 6 weeks when we return from break we will be studying the Great Artist of the Renaissance & Post Renaissance time period. Artist such as...Giotto, Ghiberti, Angelico, Durer, Michelangelo, El Greco. In Science we will be back into fun hands on experiments each week!
