I Have... Who Has...?
To review content information through oral interaction
Whole class instruction
Teacher Actions:
- Prepares a series of cards (one for each student) that contains both a question and an answer: e.g. I have Lake Erie. Who has the states that border Virginia?
- Distribute one card to each student
- Directs student to walk around the class to search for the answer to the question on the card
- Tells students to swap cards when they make a match and the question card matches the answer card
- Directs students to search for a new question or answer match
- Optional: Lines students up or puts them in a circle and selects one student to begin by reading the question on the card
- Waits for a student to respond with an answer. Student #2 then proceeds to read another question
- Play continues until the last card is read and matches the first questioner's card
Student Actions:
- Reads a card silently and searches for the person who has the answer to the question on the card
- Reads the question and answer and swaps cards
- Continues to search for matches until the teacher calls time
- Optional: Reads an answer to an appropriate question and then reads the question on the card to the class

The Mighty Cub of the Week Award will be bestowed upon a special staff member each week who has demonstrated our campus motto (purpose, passion, pride), or our vision and/or mission statement, as described by you. The purpose of this award is to fuel our staff and highlight the meaningful work and relationships around the building.
So if you notice a colleague exemplifying any of the characteristics that make AMS such a great place to work and visit, pick up a nomination form from any of the grade level offices and fill it out.
The recipient of the award will be recognized in the weekly newsletter, will be able to park in the "Employee of the Month" parking spot and will receive the completed nomination form.
Let's show our colleagues how much we appreciate them!!
