Dried Chives

Peaches (Huffman Fruit Farm)

Sweet Corn (Combo of GG and McMaster Farms)

Spaghetti Squash

Sunflower Bouquet

Number of crops ready and amount of harvest of a given crop will vary throughout the season. We will provide at least six items each week. If we have any crop issues, we will supplement with produce from other local farms. Some weeks will include value added items, such as Jungle Jam, Zucchini Bread, Basil Pesto, or even seasonal fruit from other farms.

Dried Chives

Chives, a member of the onion family, have a delicate flavor and pair well with other herbs like basil, cilantro, and tarragon. In recipes, dried chives can be substituted for fresh in equal amounts. Mix into soft cream cheese or butter for a flavorful bread spread or sprinkle on baked potatoes for a pop of color and flavor.

Peach season is here and we are excited! Every year we anxiously await the time when we can head to Huffman Fruit Farm to get their amazing Red Haven (free stone) peaches to share with you. We think Huffman's have the best peaches in Ohio. (And I grew up in the peach orchards of New Jersey, so I know a thing or two about peaches!) Our crew has been hard at work using some of these sweet peaches for Peach Lemonade Juicy Jam and Peach Habanero Jungle Jam. We hope you find a delicious peach recipe to enjoy...or just wash a beautiful peach and take a big bite!

We love seeing these ruby red gems in our harvest bins! We hope you are enjoying them and finding all sorts of yummy recipes. Here is a delicious and healthy bean salad that incorporates tomatoes as well as a tortellini salad that uses tomatoes and corn.

Spaghetti Squash

A gourd, like pumpkins and other squashes, the spaghetti squash is a large, yellow, melon-shaped food that’s usually harvested in late summer/early fall. It is often used as a substitute for spaghetti in pasta dishes. Check out these cooking tips and an intriguing burrito recipe.
