Parkdale Elementary Continues on Upward Trend for Student Academic Achievement
Parkdale Staff believes that student success comes in many different forms. We believe in teaching the whole child. This includes helping students to grow in skills such as:
* Reading for Enjoyment and Reading to Learn
* Math Problem Solving
* Artistic Expression
* Creative Thinking and Problem Solving
* Musicality
* Physical Fitness and Lifelong Health
* Scientific Inquiry
* Conflict Resolution
And so much more.
We are proud to share that our Oregon State Report Card validates the hard work of our students and staff. Parkdale students continue to outperform "like-school" comparison schools year after year. In addition, our students are showing academic growth scores that are better than the state average in nearly every category. The official state report card will be available later this month. You will receive a copy when it is available.
Thanks for all of your support of our students and staff. We can all celebrate together!

Thank you for supporting reading 20 minutes at home!
Our goal is for all students to read (on their own, with a family member or friend) for 20 minutes each night. We are hearing more and more about families who are making reading part of their every night routine. Great! This will surely make a huge difference for your child!
