ACADEMICS
Essential Science
Ms. Kieffer’s Essential Science classes closed up their physics unit with their Egg Helmet Project. Students were challenged to research the importance of helmets and their designs and apply what they learned to develop a helmet to protect a head (egg) during a crash. Students applied their physics concepts they learned about force, gravity, momentum, impulse, crumple zones, head and neck injuries, and more to the building process for their Egg Helmets. On Drop Day, students dropped their Egg Helmets from 1 meter, then 2 meters, then from the school’s front staircase. All the students worked hard on their helmet designs and congratulations to all the students whose Egg Helmets survived the crash!
The pictures are of those who were willing to have their picture taken with their group designs for their Egg Helmets.

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
The SAT is designed to support the choices juniors will make about their life beyond high school. In fact, millions of students take the test each year as a step on their path to college. It's a globally recognized test that's the best way to show off the skills and knowledge colleges care about.
To get ready for test day, your teen can use the free, personalized SAT prep of Official SAT Practice on Khan Academy®.
Registration for the May SAT is open, and seats are available.
Go to CollegeBoard.org to register.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Crazy Sock Day
Latinx Club
The Latinx Club recently held a tamales fundraiser at Biglerville High School. Many club members sold tamales. In fact, the club sold over 1,000 tamales in two days! Students and parents gathered together at a club member’s house and worked tirelessly to prepare these delights! It was definitely a labor of love!
The tamales were super delicious!
