Eversole Run Principal's Weekly

Eversole Run Middle School | May 13, 2022

Happy Friday Eversole Run Families,

We've had a busy week here at Eversole! Our art and music showcase on Tuesday was well attended, Spring sports came to an end, and we kicked off the Eagle Wars competition.

Tonight under the lights at Coffman High School, the district's 13th annual dodgeball tournament will be held. Gates open at 6pm and it's a great opportunity to support our students, staff, and community.

Next week is sure to be eventful as Eagle Wars continue and the 8th graders participate in their Cross-Curricular Presentations.

Enjoy the beautiful weekend and we look forward to seeing your child on Monday!

Athletics

We wrapped up a great Spring sports season this week at The Nest. Congratulations on a great season for all of our Golden Eagle athletes!

The season was highlighted by the accomplishments of our Track and Field team. Our boys team finished with a 6-4 dual meet record, while our girls team went 5-5. Congratulations to Natalie Fouts and Ethan Ishida for qualifying for the OHSAA State meet being held this Saturday at Hilliard Darby High School. Good luck! Eagle Nation is behind you!

Our Lacrosse program had a successful season. The boys team finished 7-7-1, while our girls team won 5 games. Our girls season was highlighted by a run to the championship game of the Shamrock Invitational. Though they fought hard to the end, they fell short and finished in 2nd place. We are proud of our lacrosse players!

The Boys Tennis team finished their season with a 7-3 record. They competed hard and represented our school well. Go Eagles Tennis!

Eversole Baseball and Softball battled the elements this season as much as they battled their opponents, but still managed to get games in, compete hard, and represent our school well. The Baseball team won 4 games and were highly competitive, while the Softball team improved so much over the course of the season.

Aside from on-field success, our student-athletes continued to shine in the classroom and in the hallways at Eversole. We are proud of all those who donned the green and gold to represent our school with grit, class, and sportsmanship!

Looking ahead to the Fall, we have been holding our Fall sports player meetings during school time. There has been a ton of interest from our student body. Our Fall sports program is open to rising 7th and 8th Grade students. We offer Cheerleading, Cross Country, Football, Boys and Girls Golf, Girls Tennis, and Volleyball. All information- including coaches contacts & dates, times, and locations of try-outs/practices can be found on the Eversole Run MS Athletics web-site.

Food/Drink Deliveries During the School Day

The amount of deliveries during the school day is on the rise. Please do not send or bring your child coffee, cookies/treats, etc. during the school day. There are also unnecessary deliveries being made for students to share with their friends. For many reasons (health and safety included), such deliveries may not make it past the office to your child. This also includes DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc. We truly appreciate your cooperation with this small request!
