I went south with the family and practiced a bit of balance :-) I had a chance to rest, spend time with Bill and the kids and read a little (okay - a lot - I managed to finish three books). We went strawberry picking; although Kai and Ma'Kaila looked more like they were playing in mud than picking strawberries. I hugged them as much as I could (before they got all muddy :-) and promised to practice the balance thing every day. We made strawberry preserves - okay, Bill's mother did, but I helped. I've shared a few pictures below. These moments will go fast and I want to cherish every last one. What I know is that they will remember them forever, and creating memories is what we're here to do - especially for our own children, and the children in our classes!
With Mother's Day approaching, I want to wish you a special day filled with smiles - whatever you decide to do. Celebrate the many accomplishments - big and small - that help us to remember what is important. The friendships we have and the relationships we build help to sustain us. Nurture the connections that you've made, and let those who help you be a better you, know how much of a difference it makes in your life.
