“Enter to Learn, Strive to Achieve!”
The MISSION of Middletown Middle School is to engage students as 21st century learners who strive to achieve their goals. We support students through rigor and active participation within a culture of cooperation, organization, determination and excellence to prepare our students for college and careers.

Students are equipped to meet the demands and opportunities of the 21st century by receiving a differentiated, effective, and rigorous curriculum. Staff believe and demonstrate that all students can master the essential 21st century skills. The culture of Middletown Middle will include high expectations for all, frequent monitoring of student progress, multiple opportunities for student learning, high levels of engagement, exceptional communication, and daily purposeful integration of technology. We will make it a priority to recognize the academic and extracurricular achievements of our school community. Middletown Middle School will have highly-motivated professional staff and authentic partnerships between the school and home.”

Instructional Walk-throughs
Next Tuesday, 9/26, we will be having our first Instruction Walk Throughs for the school year.
Teachers are responsible for setting up a visit with a colleague prior to this day for period 1, 3, or 7. While the new schedule allows for similar content visits, each teacher can choose any class/content he or she would like.
Walk-throughs help teachers identify:
- Instructional practices that others are employing effectively in our school. - Practices they currently use that they will now re-examine in light of what they observed
- Practices they don't currently use but will try because they saw other teachers using them well.
Visits should last 25 minutes and then teachers should report to Green Conference Room to de-brief.
There should be no electronic devices or note taking during the visit.
You can click on the link below to review the slide presentation that was shared last year about walk-throughs.

Support Wonder Women as we walk to fight suicide in the Out of the Darkness Frederick Walk.
Not only has suicide affected me personally but I work with students every day that are struggling with suicidal thoughts and depression. My team is joining the community of nearly 250k people walking in hundreds of cities across the country in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.
Please help us reach our fundraising goal by donating to a team member. To donate online, please go to: https://afsp.donordrive.com/ and search for “Wonder Women” and my page should pop up.
All donations are 100% tax deductible and will help bring AFSP one step closer to achieving their bold goal to reduce the suicide rate 20% by 2025.
You can also support us by registering to walk with our team - just click the "join our team" on my team page.
Thank you in advance!
