Centennial's Newsday Tuesday
Centennial Elementary Families' Weekly Newsletter 12/6/2021
A Note from the Principal
Dear Centennial Families,
I hope my message finds you all stay warming on this bright and chilly day!
Speaking of chilly, I sure hope you'll join us tonight from 6-8 p.m. for our Centennial Night on Ice at Mitch Park! I'm so excited to see everyone there and am looking forward to making wonderful memories with our families! (This event also directly supports Centennial, and we thank you for your support!)
Santa Spotted at Centennial!
Last week, it was a lot of fun to see our students visiting with Santa! (I am convinced that somehow, Centennial snagged the real one! He was truly jolly and plump, had rosy cheeks and a twinkle in his blue eyes!) Santa assured me that all of our boys and girls made his "Good List," and brought a good dose of holiday magic into our Centennial living room!
PTO Welcome Wagon Breakfast / Principal's Notes
Last Friday, our amazing PTO Board hosted our PTO General Meeting and "Welcome Wagon" Breakfast. A couple of families who are new to Centennial joined us, and we are so grateful to welcome them into our Centennial Family! For any interested in reviewing what I shared in my principal's talking notes, please click here.
Master Schedule Change Coming to All EPS Elementaries Beginning January 4!
Our EPS Administration has taken feedback from our teachers in regards to improving the elementary master schedules to minimize disruption and maximize instructional time.
In response to these items, all EPS Elementaries' master schedules will change at the beginning of the new semester. More details are forthcoming (after our team leaders collaborate on this) and I will share the new Centennial schedule with you next Tuesday!
Moving over the break?
If your family is planning on moving at the semester break - would you please be sure to contact the Centennial registrar (staci.dauphine@edmondschools.net) so that we have all the correct information in the system. This includes those students who will be attending another school next semester. (in or out of state) It REALLY helps us as we try and prepare our schedules for next semester.... Thank you in advance.
Book fair Ends this Thursday...don't miss out!
Our wonderful media specialist, "Mr. Mike," has added links to the book fair website as well as a schedule so that you may see when your student(s) will visit the library. Please click here for full details!
Finally, please check out the many exciting and important things happening at Centennial in the announcements below!
With appreciation and kind regards,
Ellie Webb, Principal

Has anyone found a gold necklace?
Centennial families, although I'd typically not publish a lost and found notice, this one is special because it holds special sentimental value to the family; thank you in advance for your care:
Lost: gold necklace w/ medium-size gold crossw/ pink flower (like a rose bloom) in the middle of the cross.
Lost the week before Thanksgiving break, most likely on the playground.
The necklace belonged to one of our Centennial moms and her daughter asked to wear it when her grandmother died 2 days before .
If found, please notify or drop it off at the Centennial Front Office.
Thank you!
