Library

  • School libraries partner with our families to ensure that book checkouts are appropriate for the individual students’ level, interests and beliefs. School librarians welcome these discussions with students and their families

  • Parents are encouraged to guide their child’s book choices by having discussions and making recommendations that reflect their interests and values. The Destiny Catalog of library materials is available to every parent and community member to view through this link: https://fcps1library.follettdestiny.comUsing this link, parents can contact the school librarian by phone or email to have a discussion about access to library materials. When possible, a note will be placed accordingly on the child’s account. By filling in this Google Form, parents can request an email notification of what books their child has checked out on a weekly basis

  • For more information about our school libraries, please visit the FCPS1 Library Media Services website. Also for your reference is this link to the School Board policy on library material selection
