April - 9th - Pinewood Derby
at Hillside Church
9 am - 10 am - - Morning car check in*
1pm - Race time
Everyone should have their cars in hand by now and are thinking up some great cars.
PLEASE NOTE THE NEW CHECK IN PROCEDURE - We are starting a new rule this year that cars must be checked in early. Between 9-10am. you may leave after checking in car and return for race time. We are hoping this will prevent last minute entries and ease up technologies of race software.
Also please consider volunteering to help run the event. it is important that we have younger parents help out as our experienced parents will be graduating to Boy Scouts this year.

CONSIDER A FRIENDS OF SCOUTING DONATION
Family Friends of Scouting funding provides roughly one-quarter of the money needed to operate the Westchester-Putnam Council’s Scout camps, programs, and facilities for a calendar year. Without this support, many of the opportunities your unit can take part in would be reduced or eliminated. It takes a contribution of $204 per registered youth to provide the program and administrative support that the WPC provides for one year. We understand that not everyone can give at this level and are grateful to receive any contribution as your personal investment in Scouting.
Here are some highlights of how Friends of Scouting donations are used:
• 100% of the donations goes directly to Westchester-Putnam Council
• 82% of the donations is used to support Scouting Programs and Camping events
• 10% is used to fundraising (special events, popcorn sales, grant writing)
• 8% is used for management and general expenses (office equipment, reports, and independent audits)
Thank you again for your support of Scouting.
