Honor Among the Worthy
Those who are worthy are rewarded
Beowulf
Was able to honor the people of Denmark by slaying Grendel and his mother the evil swamp monster and bringing peace to Denmark.
JOB
knew that his life had meaning and that he was a good person, who didn't deserve what was happening to him, but he continued to honor God by praising him and thanking him for all the blessing he did have in his life.
Job
Job did just that, he never wavered from his belief in God or in his knowing that he was a good man who had done nothing to deserve such treatment.
Beowulf
Beowulf was willing to give the ultimate sacrifice to help the people of Denmark, and after several decades as king himself he sacrificed himself for his people to defeat the dragon.
Job/Beowulf
These characters both displayed different types of honor. Job honored his faith in God and was rewarded with his blessings. Beowulf was honored by his sacrifice in Denmark and rewarded with treasure and eventually a kingdom.
