An Update from Ms. Lytle | MARCH 2021
Hello Spartans,
It's March!
Seniors: This is it! Many of you are starting to receive acceptances and scholarship offers! Congratulations. You will start reporting all of your offers, so be sure to keep track of everything (even the ones you don't plan to accept). See the links embedded in the newsletter below.
Mid Year Transcripts: If you need a mid-year transcript sent, be sure to fill out the transcript request form (link is below). If you applied in Common App, Send Edu, or Coalition, I have completed all uploads for those portals!
Juniors: Your PPP was due February 26th! If you have not submitted it, please send it to Ms. Lytle as soon as possible. After completing the PPP, email a google doc link to Ms. Lytle and schedule your post-secondary planning Zoom!
Below you will find information related to the College & Career events occurring on our campus! I have also included information related to SAT & ACT Testing, Naviance, and scholarship search tools. I hope you find this resource a helpful guide to preparing our students for their futures.
Sincerely,
Kandace Lytle

Requesting Transcripts from STEM
Transcripts for Common App, you must sign your FERPA (located on the left hand side of the Common App Portal) before you are able to invite your recommenders. You will add Kandace Lytle, kandace.lytle@stemk12.org as your Counselor Recommender to add your transcripts. You will do this in the Common App portal (we do not use Naviance for our recommendations). Here is a video that shows you how to do that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4qXDmfuR3A
Transcripts for SendEdu, Coalition, & all other Application Portals: You will add Kandace Lytle, kandace.lytle@stemk12.org as your Counselor to add your transcripts.
Transcripts that need to be mailed or emailed due to lack of portal system: Please complete the Transcript Request Form
Letters of Recommendation
Letters of Recommendation (LOR): In order to receive a letter of recommendation from Ms. Lytle, you need to have a Post-Secondary Planning Packet (PPP) on file (linked above). To request a letter of recommendation, you will add Ms. Lytle as your Counselor Recommender via the website you use to apply to college. For most of you, this will be Common Application. For the colleges not listed on Common Application, the others use either SendEdu or Coalition where you will create an account to request your Letter of Recommendation. The process is the same with your other recommendation letter writers. Some colleges do not use these systems and have recommenders send the letter directly to a university email, for example:
Colorado School of Mines:
For Mines, you can use SendEdu OR your recommenders will need to send their letters directly to: admissions@mines.edu
