Dear Alamo Families,
Our hearts are with the community at Robb Elementary School in the southwestern Texas town of Uvalde. We are here to listen, offer support, and do everything to ensure our students and staff feel safe physically and emotionally. Our counselor, Ms. Byers, and school psychologist, Ms. Quinby, can help any student or staff if needed. Below are some resources available to us.

ELO-P (Extended Learning Opportunities Program)
We want to make sure you are aware of a new and exciting after-school program available to your student(s) to participate in next year! The program will be an option for all SRVUSD Transitional Kindergarten (TK) - 5th-grade students in the 2022 - 2023 school year. Each of our elementary schools will be hosting this extended school program for 1st - 5th graders that will run until 6:00 p.m. each day. Five campuses will host the program for next year’s Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten students: Greenbrook, Live Oak, Walt Disney, Quail Run, and Montevideo.
This extended day program is a partnership between SRVUSD and the vendor, Right at School. They will provide the staffing, and a daily program focused on academic support and enrichment, interventions, social-emotional wellness and support, and more! Each day starts with a community meeting and snack, and the fun continues from there.
This is a recording from one of our parent meetings about the program.

It has been a busy year and we saved the best for last. Thank you to all of our guests and volunteers at Bocce, Bubbles and BBQ. Thank you to Brooke Gardner, Kristine Worthley, Nina Voss, Kelly Bowes, Joann Yang and especially Echo Hamilton for their work all year long preparing for this special night. We are so thankful to all of YOU for your support of the Ed Fund this year. Thanks to you, we were able to add two part time para positions and continue to fund art, music, chimes, the library refresh, reading instructional specialists and more. Enjoy the amazing concerts in these last few weeks due to the hard work of Mrs. Raaum, Mrs. Angle, the students and your donations! See here for a complete list of volunteers to thank for their time and efforts!
Bocce, Bubbles and BBQ: Saturday’s Bocce Tournament and Live Auction was a fun and spirited outdoor event with beautiful weather and great company. Congratulations to our winning team “5th Grade Team” (Welling/Wiegand, Mann, Voss) who finished the game (and their time at Alamo) strong. Other winners who we will contact to collect their prizes include:
Underdog Bracket: “Making Bocce Great again” (Van Egdom, Brooks, Breece, DeCoite)
Best Dressed: “Staff on the Fringe” (Fettig, Hascall, Abramowitz, Hennon, Inkabi, Negherbon, Raaum)
Best Team Name: “Saucy Balls” (Hamilton, Williams, Taylor, Mizne)
Most Spirited: “Alamo Hills 90210” (Finster, Rocca, Chan/Cha, Krueger)
Participation Award: “Alpha Team” (Heneman, Feldman, De La Torre)
It was so exciting to watch this dedicated community of parents and educators come together to celebrate and support Alamo School! Your generous bids on auction items make a big impact in the daily life of our students and we are looking ahead to what we can fund for the ‘22-’23 school year. You can still help us reach our fundraising goal! To contribute to our 2022 Fund a Need or pledge an amount for Science Lab materials, use this link. Thank you, Alamo Families and our sponsors!
Kids Create Art: What a week! Thank you for your participation in the Kids Create Art (KCA) fundraiser for the Alamo Ed Fund's art program. The students' artwork was beautiful and so creative - wow! Thank you to all the hard-working volunteers from each class and grade. We are adding up the funds now; please look for the total soon. If we missed you at Open House and you would like to pick up your child's art and donate the suggested donation of $40, please use this website, or email alamo.edfund@srvef.org to pay with check or cash. We will coordinate pickup with you before June 2nd!
Click here for a list of our volunteers who helped with Bocce, Bubbles and BBQ and/or KCA and tell them “thank you” when you see them! We can’t support these programs on our own and need parent volunteers to run these fundraisers. If you are interested in helping to plan next year’s events, or know someone who is, please email alamo.edfund@srvef.org and we can discuss what position is a good fit.
Dine and Donate: Thank you for treating yourself at MYO! We are awaiting our final total and will report back soon. Thank you to Sara Welch for coordinating our restaurant giveback events this year!
Retail: You can continue to support the Ed Fund this summer using Amazon Smile, Farm Fresh to You, Good Eggs (goodeggsforalamo) and Sports Basement. See a partial list of our “Free Money” programs here.

We cannot believe we are in our last full week of school! Hopefully, most of you have some fun things planned for the summer and were able to get your kids into some fun activities.
We have a limited amount of yearbooks available for sale for those who did not order them during the initial sale period. They are available first come first served through the PTA store. You can order here: https://aes.futurefund.com/store.
The last Run Club was this Wednesday! Many thanks to Lisa Taylor for making this happen for the kids this year.
Kudos to all room parents who are planning end of year parties for our kids. Please take a moment to read any communications sent regarding end of year events. Thank you!
A reminder that Field Day is June 1st. You should have received a signup genius from your teachers to support this fun event for our kids. Please check your email and sign up to volunteer!!!
Looking for something fun to watch this summer? Best summer movie award goes to Starstruck @ Alamo Talent Show! A must see! Your kids will love reliving their performance and watching themselves up on stage. Or in case you missed it now is your chance to see your friends performing and watch the show. The PTA hired this year an incredible videographer to capture our amazing, talented students at our annual talent show. We have just received the final product and it's so cute. If you would like to receive this video, please Venmo $15 @Nicole-DeLaTorre-11. In the Venmo area “what’s it for” please include PTA talent show video and your email that you want the video sent to. Thank you. Once we receive your payment, we will send you the video. All payments due by June 1st.
Action Required!!!! Our district is pushing for a significant change in funding structure for our schools. If you have not yet taken action to address this, please read the flyer below and do so ASAP! See RAISE THE BASE flyer below.
