Welcome back!

This weekend I stumbled upon a blog post titled, "To Every Teacher Going Back to Work This Week," which caused me to reflect on the contrast between the energetic and exciting beginning of the school year and the more subdued start of the second semester. The author reminded me we owe our students our very best each and every day...even these long, gray ones. As she states, "It's time to walk back into your classroom and do what you love to do. Because you do love it." Our students will mirror your energy and attitude. May your passion permeate all you do as we begin this new year and new semester.

If you'd like to read the entire post, click here. Perhaps it will bring a smile to your face on this winter's day as it did to mine.

Have a great week back, doing what you love!

Student Schedules

  • Please distribute 2nd semester student schedules during 1st period on Monday. A handful of students may have a different 1st period this (2nd) semester. If so, please have them report to their new 1st period class immediately after they receive their new schedule.
  • Only send students to see the counselors if there is a major issue with their schedules, such as not having a class assigned at all for a certain period or missing a core class.
  • For any other issue, a student may sign up for the list to see the counselor before or after school (not during class time or advocate). The counselors will call for these students as their schedules permit.
  • Students who would like to request a level change need to pick up a pink form in the counseling office.

Grades Due Tuesday at 4 PM

  • Student Report Cards are to be distributed during Advocate on Thursday.
  • Please communicate with parents of all students who did not earn credit for your class first semester.

Dual Credit Government

Payment is due to Blinn College by January 11th and class starts January 19th in room 3130.
