SciGirls Saturdays!

Parents of girls, please mark your calendars for January 31st, 9:00-11:00. After receiving a generous grant from the GCISD Education Foundation, the GMS STEM Academy will be hosting four SciGirls Saturdays this spring.

This opportunity will provide girls with the platform to create and thrive without the pressures of competition from their male classmates. We will focus on encouraging girls to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics through collaboration, group projects and activities. Girls will have the opportunities to work with and meet professional women in STEM Careers. More information will be coming home soon!

Cotillion 2015-

Cotillion is a GMS PTA-sponsored 5-week social dance curriculum combined with an emphasis on good manners and social etiquette. The 5-week series provides young people with dance skills as well as the social skills necessary to feel poised and confident throughout their lives. More information can be found HERE

Supplies for Science!

Thank you so much for all the supplies you have collected! I am still taking supplies for science (until the 20th). Please save and send these to school as they become available:

- empty egg cartons (cardboard and styrofoam)

- shoe boxes

- paper towel tubes

- toilet paper tubes

- empty tissue boxes

- empty water bottles (12-16.9oz)

Students can bring them to Mrs. Nutt's room. Thanks! I appreciate your help!

Newsletter Feedback

Thank you very much for completing the feedback form! I will work this week to update our mailing list. In the meantime, it will be printed and sent with those students whose families indicated they weren't able to view it on any platform. All others will be able to view through normal means. I appreciate your help!
