November Leadership Social

For our November Leadership Social, Pathfinder parent Christine Parisi presented to students. Christine is an Interior Designer and Interior Architect at ACI Boland, which is the firm that was responsible for the design and build of Pathfinder Elementary. She did a great job of walking students through what leadership in her role looks like and connecting the 7 Habits to her work as well!

Got Character Student Visits

We were also able to welcome our Got Character Seniors on Friday, November 19th. These students have taken a pledge to stay drug and alcohol free and display positive character traits. Two former Pathfinder students, Hallee Hagg and Emily Ewing, came to talk with our students and delivered a great message about service and how even young students can get involved in leadership.

Pathfinder Pancakes with Santa / December 4th 8:00-10:00

Get your ticketns now for our annual Pancakes with Santa Breakfast. You can purchase tickets in advance for $5.00 either online, or you can send cash or check in with their student, or at the door for $6.00. Once tickets are purchased PTA will be bringing the tickets up to the school and tickets will be sent home with the student.


Parents can fill out a form and send it with your child, or get a printable form. Otherwise, you can use the online form to complete your ticket purchase.

Join Our Team!

We currently have a lunchroom monitor position open at Pathfinder. This position is a part time position and the hours for the job are daily from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM (3 hours per day / 15 hours per week). You would be assisting in the lunchroom and interacting with our students. The rate of pay for this position is $11.04 to $12.82 per hour. We are also needing substitute teachers throughout our school district. If you would like to apply for the opportunity to substitute teach please use the link below. We need substitutes at all grade levels and for any day of the week. Even if you are only able to substitute a few days a week we would welcome you to still apply. Substitute Teacher pay is $105.00 a day or $14.00 an hour. A full day for a Substitute Teacher is 7.5 hours a day. If a Substitute Teacher works 6.5 hours a day they are paid the full $105.00. If a Substitute works less than 6.5 hours a day, they are paid hourly.

Inclement Weather Information

Click here for information on school cancellations/modifications due to inclement weather, how the District will notify parents, as well as information on recess, Y Club, and Inclement Weather Virtual Learning Days. For the 2021-22 school year, PCR-3 will implement traditional inclement weather days (no school and no virtual learning), until we reach a threshold that would push the school year past Memorial Day. We will make those days up per our academic calendar, and if we go past four inclement weather days, we will implement our Inclement Weather Virtual Learning Days.

Picture Retake Day: December 2nd

Our Fall picture retake day is scheduled for December 2nd. This will be for all students who did not have a Fall picture taken, absent students from our Fall picture day, and students that did not like their purchased packet from September 8th. Students looking to retake need to return the current purchased packet on the day of retakes.

Fall Parent Survey / Please Complete By December 3rd

We are conducting our annual parent survey to gather feedback on strengths of the District, as well as areas to consider for growth. Your input is important and will be considered when making future decisions.

If you have not already completed the survey, we ask that you complete the survey by clicking here. If you have more than one student, please be sure to answer those questions for each building. The survey should take approximately fifteen minutes to complete.

If you have already completed the survey, you can continue to participate in the Thought Exchange comment section, by clicking here. Participants share thoughts, then rate thoughts shared by others to create themes and help the District prioritize next steps. We encourage you to revisit this exchange and rate additional thoughts as they are entered.

Text Notifications

The District uses text messaging and automated phone calls to notify parents of upcoming events and days off, school closings due to weather, and during emergency situations. Pathfinder Resource Checklist

Hello Pirate Families! At the beginning and middle of each school year, we ask parents and guardians to fill out our Resource Checklist on paper. This year we are asking you to complete the Resource Checklist electronically using this form. This brief questionnaire is your School Social Worker's first and primary way to help you access support services. It also lets us know if you are interested in giving back to your school community. Please do not hesitate to contact your School Social Worker if you have any questions.

COVID-19 Quarantine Guidance and Data

Please see the attached quarantine guidance for students or staff members who are identified as a close contact to a person with COVID-19. The graphic outlines the requirements if all parties are appropriately masked, as well as if they are not. These quarantine procedures are in alignment with directives from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Platte County Health Department (PCHD).


We will post numbers of reported COVID-19 cases and close contacts in our District on our website, displaying data from the previous seven days, as well as 7-day rolling average information. These cases will include staff and students, and will only include those reported to the District.

This information will be available on our District website here starting Tuesday, September 7.
