What is Hypothyroidism?
Hypothyroidism is a disease where the thyroid has too little or too much iodine. This results in it not making enough of the thyroid hormone causing a plethora of other problems.

How is it Treated?
There is a synthetic thyroid hormone that they give to you called T4 it can take months to get the proper amount for the person. This eliminates the need for a functioning thyroid resulting in a healthy normal person.
