12/12/15 Parkland Football Semi Final vs. Upper Dublin at Souderton High School, 625 Lower Rd., Souderton, PA,1 PM. ALL TICKETS AT THE GAME ARE $8.

12/12/15 Springhouse Supports National Wreaths Across America Day, Resurrection Cemetery, 547 N. Krocks Road, Wescosville, PA 18106, 12 noon. 1,104 wreaths wills be laid at all veteran graves on Saturday to remember and honor our fallen heroes who have served in the armed forces at Resurrection Cemetery. Springhouse Middle School students took on the challenge to raise enough money from each homeroom to purchase many of the wreaths and will participate in the annual ceremony at the cemetery by singing the national anthem and providing a student-researched and student-delivered speech that specifically will recognize Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action. This initiative is part of the school's TAKE A STAND AND PAY KINDNESS FORWARD campaign. On this day, groups across the country will simultaneously lay wreaths at over 1,100 locations to honor and remember our veterans. Springhouse was honored to partner with local Girl Scout troops, the Air Products IT Division, and many other local sponsors in the coordination of this ceremony.

12/15/2015 Parkland High School Band Winter Concert, 7 PM.

12/17/2015 PHS Literary Magazine's Poetry Out Loud Contest, Room C200, 7 PM. Students who wish to participate will memorize and deliver three established poems (not original work) from memory. The contest judges the students on the delivery of the poem, including performance and evidence of comprehension. The school winner goes on to compete in regionals at the Allentown Art Museum in February, and the contest moves forward from there to the national level in Washington DC.

12/17/2015 Parkland High School Orchestra Winter Concert, 7 PM (Senior Citizen dinner precedes concert at 5:30 PM).

12/17/15 Community Advisory Council meets to tour PHS, 6:15 PM. The public is invited to attend. Meet in the library classroom.
12/18/2015 Elementary Chorale Winter Concert at SMS, 7 PM.

12/19/2015 Trojan Challenge Cheer Competition, PHS gym, 7 AM.

12/27 and 12/28/15 Parkland Boys Basketball Holiday Tournament. The four schools playing in the tournament are: Parkland High School, Liberty High School, George Washington High School in Philadelphia and LaSalle College High School in Philadelphia.

Sunday - 6 PM – Liberty vs. LaSalle and 8 PM – Parkland vs. George Washington

Monday - 6 PM – Consolation Game and 8 PM – Championship Game

Tickets will cost $10 per day

HOUR OF CODE was a big hit with elementary students this week in all Parkland schools!


Elementary students in all eight Parkland schools learned the basics of computer programming during the National Hour of Code event sponsored by

Milo Ilchuk, a Kratzer Elementary student, won a PBS Artist of the Month contest! He showcased his drum performance via video entitled "Drum Beats" which can be viewed here:
